Ocean Sciences Bowl Teams Wrap Up Successful Season!

Saturday,3/3, at CU in Boulder, Poudre's 2 Ocean Sciences Bowl Teams competed from 9AM-6PM with teams from Colorado,, Wyoming, S. Dakota, and New Mexico in a Ocean quiz bowl competition. They ended up finishing 2nd and 3rd overall, with a team from Loveland winning.

Poudre's B team consisting of Maddy Nirschl(Capt.), Juliana Pham, Josie Brett, Grace Farley, and Ben Fan finished 2nd. They  beat Loveland in the Round Robin and then again in the Double elim, but Loveland came back and beat them in the end. 

Poudre's Team A finished 3rd, after finishing with the best record in the round Robin. The A team included Juliana Pham(Capt), Arun Chandra, Sam Auyeung, Melody Dong, and Henry Arndt. Please congratulate all of these students for their hard work and commitment to studying Oceanography after school on their own time and for no credit.(Just lots of Nerd Fun!) They read and studied  a complete college level Oceanography text in the last 5 months.
