PHS Boy's Swimming and Diving Team 5A State meet at EPIC - Results!

This weeked the PHS Boy's Swimming and Diving Team participated in the 5A State meet at EPIC. We had a strong showing and placed 13th as a team, while only participating in 4 individual events and 3 relays. Please help me to celebrate and recognize the teams successes!

Individual accolades:

Tyler Hicks

• 2nd place in 200 free, established a new school record and narrowly missed becoming a state champion by 0.09 seconds!
• 3rd place in 100 free
• Member of 10th place 200 free relay and 11th place 400 free relay
• Nominated as State Athlete of Year

Jason Hicks

• 14th place 500 free, earned a new lifetime best time
• 18th place 200 free, earned a new lifetime best time
• Member of 10th place 200 free relay and 11th place 400 free relay

Matthew Sima

• 15th place 100 breaststroke
• Breaststroke leg of 200 medley relay team

Eric Work

• Member of 10th place 200 free relay and 11th place 400 free relay
• Fly leg of 200 medley relay team
• Earned a state cut 100 free on leadoff of leg of 400 free relay...1 week too late :(

George Hu 

• Backstroke leg of 200 medley relay team

Reed Sorensen

• Member of 10th place 200 free relay and 11th place 400 free relay
• Earned a state cut 50 free on leadoff leg of 200 free relay...1 week too late :(
• Freestyle leg of 200 medley relay team
