THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving Dinner will be served at the following locations:
Open Door Mission – 316 Jefferson – WEDNESDAY, November 21st at 5:00 pm. Please call 224-4302 if you have any questions. At this time Open Door Mission is not providing Thanksgiving baskets to the community.
Catholic Charities Mission – 460 Linden Center Drive – Noon on Thanksgiving Day. No reservations required.
Salvation Army – 3901 S. Mason Street (behind Olive Garden) 1:00 am -2:00pm on Thanksgiving Day. No reservations required
Salvation Army will be providing 100 turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners. You must register for the turkey dinner at the Salvation Army during Christmas registration. See details below!
Timberline Church is NOT doing Thanksgiving baskets this year. At this time we don’t have any additional resources for Thanksgiving.
CHRISTMAS
THIS YEAR ALL CHILDREN WILL BE REGISTERED BY THEIR NAME. CHILDREN WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO BE REGISTERED ONE TIME ONLY. PLEASE COMMUNICATE THIS TO OTHER MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMILY. YOU MAY NOT REGISTER A CHILD IF SOMEONE ELSE IN YOUR FAMILY HAS ALREADY REGISTERED THEM. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MAY ONLY REGISTER AT ONE OF THESE AGENCIES. THEY ARE ALL USING THE SAME DATA BASE AND WILL BE CROSS CHECKING NAMES. IF YOU REGISTER AT SEVERAL AGENCIES YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE GIFTS FROM ANY OF THE BELOW AGENCIES. THE EXCEPTION IS SANTA COPS. YOU MAY REGISTER WITH SANTA COPS AND ONE OTHER AGENCY! PLEASE CALL MRS. GILLAN IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT 488-7718.
THE DEADLINES FOR CHRISTMAS REGISTRATION ARE IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE DATES BELOW!
CATHOLIC CHARITIES – OCTOBER 17, 18 AND 19TH. Registration will take place from 8:30-11:00am each of these days at 460 Linden Center Drive (The Mission). The requirements are:
Valid ID from any country for the adult registering the children
Student Identification – Birth Certificate (can be hospital copy) for any child not in school. BIRTH CERTIFICATES ARE PREFERRED FOR ALL CHILDREN! For school age children you must bring you free and reduced letter from the district with your children’s names on it or a report card from the school. PLEASE TURN OVER
Proof of income - Free and reduced letter from the district does count or pay stubs.
Proof of residence – Letter from landlord, utility bill, phone bill etc. It must have your name and address on it.
Children – newborn – 16 years old will qualify
PLEASE BRING ALL DOCUMENTS WITH YOU!
SALVATION ARMY – MONDAY, OCTOBER 22 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26TH BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
You must call 970-207-4472 to make an appointment for Christmas gifts. Ages birth to 17 years old will be eligible. The requirements are the same as Catholic Charities. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BRING ALL DOCUMENTS TO THE APPT. IF YOU DON’T HAVE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER.
SANTA COPS – You must register at the Fort Collins Police Service Building, 2221 S. Timberline Road on the following days: Tuesday, November 6th through Saturday, November 17th during business hours. You must register in person.
Requirements are: Photo ID for parent/guardian registering children
Birth Certificate for each child
Proof of address – same as above
Gift ideas for each child – less than $20.00
TIMBERLINE – ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM – This is a referral only program.
The deadline for referrals is December 6th. If you would like referral to this program please contact Mrs. Gillan 488-7718, Mrs. Diaz –Vavrina (Spanish speaking) – 488-7759, Mrs. McPhee – 488-7720 or Mr. Kauffman – 488-7722
You may not receive a referral if you have already registered with another agency!
