Education Fund
The IB Education Fund was initiated in the Spring of 2010 in honor of Chris Hays who served as PHS-IB Director for 7 years and retired from Poudre High School and the Poudre School District in May, 2010.
Donations to the Fund by former and current IB families are designated to be used for IB expenses not currently earmarked in the IB program's operating budget.
Thus far, the Fund has been designated and disbursed to:
- Send four IB MYP staff members (Art, English, History and Math) to New York City to attend a workshop on Building Inquiry into MYP Interdisciplinary Units.
- Pay partial tuition for an IB student to attend a creative writing workshop (Summer of 2011) at Washington University/St. Louis.
- Pay partial tuition for an IB student to attend PHS Virtual Summer School/2011.
- Support students who are unable to pay for IB related expenses, including IB exams taken their junior and senior years.
As of December, 2012, the IB Program has received almost $5000 in donations from former and current IB parents and students!! THANK YOU for your continued support!!
