About Me

I grew up with my three brothers in East Northport, New York and ran cross country and track in high school.  I then went to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut where I studied American Studies and continued to run cross country and track.  After graduating, I worked at a summer program for students with special needs and realized the best way for me to contribute to the American story I had spent the last four years studying was to impact the lives of students as a school counselor.

I studied school counseling at the University of Missouri and had the amazing opportunity to serve with Americorps during that time.  After graduating from Mizzou, I was a school counselor and cross country coach at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri for four years before moving to Fort Collins in 2013.  I had the chance to stay home with our twins, Liam and Avery (8 years old), and son, Callen (4 years old), while working for the University of Missouri's Mizzou K12 global high school program.  In this role, I got to travel and work with partner schools all over Brazil, training teachers and connecting with students in a blended, co-teach model.

Once my twins reached school age, I was ready to work with students in my own community again and after a brief period at Irish Elementary I am thrilled to call Poudre High School home since 2018.  When I'm not at PHS, I can be found skiing, biking, running, hiking, reading, and having fun outside with my family.
