I was a high school drop-out who decided to improve the educational system from the inside. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." --Gandhi
I have an Associate of Arts from Front Range Community College (2000), and a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University (2005) in Family & Consumer Sciences and Secondary Education. Currently working on my Masters of Human Sexuality Education at Widener University.
I dropped out of high school in my junior year and then received my GED the same year I would have graduated, when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. I started college when she was 6 months old, and graduated when she was 10 and my youngest was almost 2. I started my teaching career in August 2000 at Mountain View High School in Loveland, and spent 9 years teaching at the same school where I did my student teaching. I started at Poudre High in August of 2014. GO IMPALAS!!

RESPECT is the guiding principal in my classroom. Respect for SELF, peers, the teacher and classroom materials. It is also a safe, welcoming environment free of negative judgment and stereotypes.
