Mrs. Lund has been teaching social studies for over 28 years and still loves working with students each day. She has traveled extensively, spending time in dozens of countries and continuing her education in numerous ways. Her Bachelor's degree is from Florida International University, majoring in History and Social Studies Education. She also has her Master's in Education from CSU plus over 50 additional credits.
Mrs. Lund is dedicated to the development of global knowledge and understanding. She is a two-time Fulbright-Hayes scholarship recipient. The first Fulbright-Hayes program was to India; the second to Ecuador. She has traveled extensively, sometimes with sponsorship. Some examples of sponsored trips include a PSD funded teaching experience in China and a National Council for Social Studies month-long study to Germany. She has been traveling since childhood, beginning with visits to family in Sweden. Her most recent trip was to Turkey. Antarctica is still on her list of continents to visit. Mrs. Lund brings her education, teaching experience, and passion for the subject matter to her classroom each day.
"Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us, hovering, averting our eyes, and they seldom offer thanks, but what we do for them is never wasted."
