Bachelor of Arts, English Education- Colorado State University
Master's of Education, Curriculum Studies- University of Northern Colorado
Though I was not born in Fort Collins, I have spent 98% of my life here. I attended O'Dea, McGraw, Webber, and graduated from Rocky Mountain High. After gaining my degree, I worked at Northridge High School for 5 years in Greeley, Colorado. I began teaching at Poudre High School in 2014.
I love the outdoors and especially backpacking; I spend much of my free time planning my next adventures. As an English teacher, I am also an avid reader. My favorite novels include the Harry Potter series, and more recently All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and any of the memoirs written by David Sedaris.
I am a teacher in the IB Diploma Program Pathway, and often teach the 9th and 10th grade English requirements for those students. I also teach elective courses for upperclassmen including Creative Writing, Media Analysis and Composition, among others.
