I moved to Fort Collins in August of 2014, after having lived in St Paul, Minnesota, for many years, but I’m originally from Wisconsin. I started learning French in 6th grade, and I studied abroad in France twice–once for a semester in Nantes and then again for a summer session in Lyon.
My favorite things in life are music and traveling, and I’ve been to 18 different foreign countries! I go to a lot of concerts and LOVE rock and alternative music. Some of my favorite national bands are the Chili Peppers and the Foo Fighters, but I love the Minneapolis music scene, and my favorite musicians/ bands from there are Dan Wilson, Jeremy Messersmith, Chris Koza, Test Site 67 and Solid Gold. I also like playing Phoebe (my guitar!) when I have time. Art is a big hobby of mine, and drawing in charcoal is my preferred medium. If I’m not doing something involving art or music, I’m definitely doing something involving sports!—I love doing yoga, running, blading and playing basketball, and enjoy going to sporting events. I actually have a side business as well, Free Life Yoga, that offers trips abroad for yoga students.
