Educational Background:

BFA in Fiber Design, 1987, Colorado State University
M.Ed. Integrated Teaching Through The Arts, 2010, Lesley University

Biographical Sketch:

I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. I came to Fort Collins in 1981 to attend Colorado State University. My first art teaching assignment was split between Highland Elementary School in Pierce, Colorado and Highland Middle School in Ault, Colorado. After four years I transferred to Highland High School in Ault where I taught drawing, painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, newspaper and yearbook (not all at the same time...). I also coached boys and girls Cross Country and was the Drama sponsor. I came to Poudre High School in 2001. During my first four years at PHS I taught both IB Diploma Art and MYP Art and Design. During my fifth year at Poudre, I focused on MYP Art and Design, Drawing and Painting. I currently teach MYP Design, Jewelry, Sculpture, and Pottery. In my free time I love to ride my horses, make art and play guitar, bass and mandolin with my band "Cowtown".
