Mrs Nelson is joining Poudre High School from Hugo, Colorado. She grew up in Bennett, Colorado with her parents and sisters on a small hobby farm. She grew up showing cattle, swine, sheep and horses competitively in 4-H, FFA and open shows. She was a officer in her chapter FFA for three years, a district officer and also served as a State FFA Officer in 2007-2008. She truly found her love for teaching agriculture and the FFA while she served as a state officer. After her state officer year she attended Colorado State University and earned her degree in Agriculture Education. She taught for three years in McClave Colorado before moving to Hugo where she taught for the past three years while also earning her masters in Agriculture Education. In June she married her best friend and moved to Fort Collins. She is excited to start a new adventure of living in Fort Collins and teaching at Poudre High School.
