Biographical Sketch: 

I was born in Chicago, IL, but I feel as though I grew up in Phoenix, AZ, as my family moved there when I was 8. (via Crown Point, IN, and Houston, TX) I graduated from Horizon High School in 1983 and met my wife to be, Kris, at Northern Arizona University (GO LUMBERJACKS!) Within a couple of years after graduation, we were married and I followed my wife to Fort Collins, CO, where she could pursue graduate studies in Human Nutrition at Colorado State University. (GO RAMS!) I told her that I would move to Colorado on one condition, that if I found a good job there, we would have to stay a while. I am now finishing my 29th year at Poudre High School, and could not imagine teaching anywhere else. (GO IMPALAS!)

We have three beautiful children, and fatherhood is simply the most important role in my life. Jessica graduated in December, 2014, from Pacific Lutheran University with a Biology degree and is currently working on a Masters in Nursing at her alma mater. Laura is a senior at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, studying Chemistry (go figure?) Mark is a 12th grader at Poudre and cracks us up daily with his sharp wit and sense of humor. I enjoy golf, cards, camping, movies, and watching sports on TV. That's about it.
