About Me

Biography:

I grew up in a small mountain town in southern Colorado.  After completing my high school education, I ventured to Fort Collins to attend CSU. I liked Fort Collins so much, luckily, I never left.  I have called this area my home since 1999. It is here that I have dedicated myself to teaching, striving to cultivate inquisitive minds and foster scientific literacy among the next generation.

In my classroom, I believe that curiosity and inquiry are not just teaching methods but fundamental principles that guide our exploration of the world around us. By encouraging my students to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and seek evidence, I empower them to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners. I firmly believe that scientific literacy is essential for a thriving society, enabling individuals to make informed decisions and navigate an increasingly complex world with confidence.

“I think by far the most important bill in our whole code is that for the diffusion of knowledge among the people.

No other sure foundation can be devised for the preservation of freedom and happiness.” -Thomas Jefferson
