Biographical Sketch:
Originally from suburban Philadelphia, Mr. Moyer has lived in Fort Collins since 1999. From 2004-2009, he taught K-6 art at Putnam Elementary School. After earning an additional teaching endorsement in English, he began teaching at PHS in 2009. He serves as the staff sponsor for Poudre’s student-published literary and fine art magazine, Kaleidoscope. He served as the head coach of the boys’ and girls’ cross country programs from 2007-2014. His various duties at Poudre give him the unique and enriching opportunity to share his passions for art, reading, writing, running, and learning with his students. When he’s not teaching or coaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily Richards Moyer, who teaches English at PHS, playing with their Great Dane, Poppy, mountain & road biking, making pottery, reading, rock climbing, writing, drawing, running, traveling, and eating.
