What is Concurrent Enrollment?
Concurrent Enrollment programs allow qualified high school students grades 9th-12th to enroll in FRCC college classes for both high school and college credit for free. Tuition, textbooks, and student fees are paid by the school district or charter school and the student’s stipend College Opportunity Fund. Students must earn a C or better to receive college credits.

High School Select-classes taught at your high school
Students take FRCC courses at their high school for both high school and college credit. Classes are taught by FRCC-approved high school instructors or FRCC instructors who travel to the high school. All costs are paid for by the district and student Colorado Opportunity Fund stipend.
How to opt in to earn college credit forms and directions. All steps must be completed to enroll for college credits. Once a PSD Concurrent Enrollment form has been completed by student and parent, the student is automatically enrolled in all Concurrent Enrollment classes for the year for college credits. PSD Concurrent Enrollment form needs to be completed yearly. Note: (Campus Select classes need to complete a PSD CE form each semester). Students must earn a C or better to earn college credits.

- Students interested in ASE and WEL courses will likely start routing through Advising for FALL 24 registration; this is to ensure they do not forget to drop a course & take a spot for another student & also begin with the correct certificate. Updates will be shared via CE Newsletter.
Ascent (Accelerating Students through concurrent enrollment)
The ASCENT program is a fifth-year program where approved students take an additional year of college classes after their 12th grade year at FRCC or Aims Community College. Students do not receive their high school diploma, but they are allowed to walk with their graduating class. Students must earn 9 college credits by the graduation date. Students are approved for the ASCENT program through their school district and must talk to their high school/district for consideration into the program. Tuition, textbooks, and student’s fees are covered by the school district, but students may be responsible for consumables (shirts, shoes, etc.)

TREP (Teacher Recruitment Education and Preparation Program)
More than ever, Colorado needs teachers who are committed to making a difference. The TREP program will allow you to begin taking college courses while you’re still in high school and continue on a teaching career pathway for two years after 12th grade, tuition-free! Students must complete one specific class during their senior year to qualify. (See you counselor for a list of classes).

P-TECH
Interested in pursuing a career in Advanced Manufacturing? The Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) at Poudre High School helps students simultaneously complete their high school graduation requirements and an associate degree to prepare for a future career in the manufacturing industry. Poudre’s P-TECH is a one-of-a-kind program in Poudre School District and is a partnership with Woodward and Front Range Community College, as well as many other industry partners in Northern Colorado. Students must apply and be accepted to this program, and coursework starts in the 9th or 10th grade.
