On Thursday, January 15th between 1st and 2nd periods, Poudre will be hosting our annual Registration Kickoff. Included in Registration Kickoff is class rush, counselor presentations, registration paperwork, and some planning time for students to begin to look at courses they would like to take next year. Class rush will be the first thirty minutes. During this time, Poudre teachers will be in the halls promoting the wide variety of course offerings we have at Poudre. This is an important time for students to investigate and ask questions about what classes they may be able to take next year and into their future here at Poudre. Following class rush, students will go to their 2nd period classes where counselors, via a video and slide show, will discuss the registration process with students and provide them with a course requests sheet. This video and other important links will be available on the PHS website for additional reference .
The week of January 19th students should discuss with and get recommendations from their teachers for their classes, as well as, engage in family conversations about courses they would like to take for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Then, the week of January 26th, students will have a predetermined time in which they will meet with their counselors for an in-person meeting to finalize their course requests. It is important that students do not miss this scheduled time to meet with their counselors. Posters will be hung in the main hallway showing the times for student appointments.
