Testing season is upon us and is slated for April 13 & 14. Our students will participate in important state and national assessments to help guide future instruction, measure college and career readiness, and celebrate successes.

Only students who are testing will be on campus both of these days. All students should check with teachers for asynchronous work on Monday periods 1 - 4 B day and Tuesday periods 1 - 4 A day (=work you do on your own at home).
Bus transportation will run on a normal schedule and lunch will be provided as usual. Please consider making arrangements for your student to be picked up after the completion of the testing window, as the remaining portion of the school day will be asynchronous.
Why these assessments matter:
✔ They provide valuable feedback about academic progress
✔ SAT scores can be used for college admissions and scholarships
✔ Results help us refine instruction and support students
We encourage students to do their best, but also remember, these tests are one snapshot of their learning journey.
More detailed schedules, room assignments, and preparation resources will be shared soon.
For more information about testing purposes, test types, and/or excusing students from assessments, please visit the PSD "District and State Assessment" website: District and State Assessments | Poudre School District. If you are opting to excuse your student from one or more of the tests please do so sooner than later, so PHS can adjust the testing sessions and space needed in a timely manner.
Thank you for partnering with us to support your student’s success. Please reach out with questions to Nick Holley (Dean of Students/Interim Assistant Principal) nholley@psdschools.org
